WAIHI BEACH It really is closer than you think...
Rush hour is an unknown concept in Waihi Beach. Nobody rushes because nobody needs to! Its a laid-back, friendly, warm and inviting community. Shopping in Tauranga is less than 45 minutes easy drive away. What's more, Auckland is less than two hours away.
Fishing and boating and seaside picnics are part of everyday life. Golf courses and bowling greens at neighbouring Waihi and Katikati are handy as they are within a 15 minute drive. Waihi Beach is in the Bay of Plenty. The Waihi Beach area stretches for about 8 kilometres along the beach and penetrates about 3 kilometres inland. At one end is Athenree, which is close to the tip of the entrance to Tauranga's harbour.
